Shlomo founded FirstCode in 2016 and still writes code every week. His whole career has been as an independent engineer inside other companies' teams: today a contract Senior Software Engineer at Total Wine, and before that part of the development team at Kangarootime, the childcare-management platform from Buffalo, New York, and at Marathon in New York, building new features alongside their in-house engineers. That outside view is where FirstCode's model comes from: owner-operated companies need software built around how they actually work, and a team that stays after launch. At FirstCode he sets the architecture, runs the agent fleet that builds the product, and still reviews what ships.
